Heat Transfers

Use heat transfers to customize your clothes, bags, shoes, hats, or other fabric items! These are easy to use and are lab-certified to be washed 100+ times.

Follow the directions below to apply your heat transfers using a home iron.

How to Apply

Step 1: Prep

  • Set the heat to the garment type (e.g., cotton or polyester) or to medium heat.

  • Cut out the heat transfer you want to use and cut the heat-safe tape to size.

Step 2: Placement

  • Place the heat transfer in the desired location and tape it down with the included heat-safe tape.

  • Be sure the heat transfer is flat. It can be placed over seams, though!

Step 3: Iron & Peel

  • Cover with parchment paper or a piece of cloth. Do not iron directly onto the heat transfer.

  • Use medium/high pressure and small, circling motions for 15-20 seconds over the parchment paper and heat transfer.

    • Be sure not to scorch the fabric by staying in one area for too long.

  • Let it cool for 10 or so seconds, then slowly peel off the film.

    • If the heat transfer is peeling up with the film, replace film and parchment paper, then iron again for another 15–20 seconds.

    • If you’re still having issues, try peeling from another corner or side. You can also repeat the ironing process until the heat transfer no longer peels off.

    • You can also turn the iron heat up by 15ºF and try pressing with more pressure.

Step 4: Final Ironing

  • Once you peel off the film, replace the parchment paper and iron for another 15–20 seconds.

  • Let it cool completely before touching, wearing, or washing.

How to Wash

Yes, these heat transfers can be washed! While you can wash them normally, I recommend taking extra care to ensure they stay looking perfect.

Washing Tips

  • Turn the garments inside-out before washing.

  • Wash on the gentle cycle with cold water.

  • Do not use bleach or harsh detergents.

  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
